NATIONAL NO SMOKING DAY - 12TH MARCH 2008
12th Mar 2008
Put your money where your mouth is with HSF health plan
Smokers are six times more likely than non-smokers to contract mouth cancer , and with mouth cancer having the worst survival rates of all cancers it has never been more important to look after your oral health.
No Smoking Day, 12th March 2008, one of the largest awareness campaigns in the UK, is encouraging the British public to quit smoking and take better care of their oral health. By setting the Great No Smoking Day Challenge they hope to encourage record numbers of smokers to quit, and regain control of their habits and their health in 2008.
The first step to better oral care is to have regular check-ups at the dentist, especially if you are a smoker. However, dental check-ups and subsequent treatments can be costly. HSF health plan, a not-for-profit cash plan provider, can help by offering a range of great low cost health schemes, starting from as little as £6.00 per month, which can be used to reimburse up to 100% of your dental costs (depending on the scheme you join).
All the schemes also include cover for optical care and glasses, complementary therapies, specialist consultants and many other benefits.
Unlike other cash plans, HSF health plans dental schemes cover you for cosmetic dentistry in addition to giving you free access to specialist helplines such as the Medical Information helpline to help you quit smoking.
Contributors can add their partners and children (under age 18) to their registration at no additional cost. There are nine schemes available starting from as little as £6.00 per month. Please visit the new website at: www.hsf.eu.com for more information
